Default Becool&Griffin

Who makes a better radiator as far as cooling. My car runs extremley hot! I was looking at the Summit catolog and saw these 2. You tell me what you think.

I don't have any experience with either one you have listed, but when I asked most recommended the Ron Davis aluminum radiator. I bought one and was easily one of the best investments made in my car. I'm not sure how they compare in price with the ron davis, but it might be worth checking into.

The one I use is by afco; a lot of stangers use them around here and have good luck with them. They are built better than griffin or becool from what I have been told.

I have only tried one brand of radiator and that was the Fluidyne. Oh my god is that thing a beast. Besides looking good sitting in your car, it does a damn good job of cooling. This thing is about twice as big as the stock unit. It is two row, but these two rows are huge and are more like a 4 row. It's all I ever needed. I paid about $320 for mine. I have recommended it to many.

I've got a griffen had it almost a year now. No problems with it. Happy customer. As for cooling well it's been about 2 months since I last turned my fan on. I only have a perma cool electric unit. No problem with heat I'm actualy having a problem warming up.

Supposedly the Griffens use epoxy on the end tanks, which are subject to leaking, and the fluidynes use 100% welded construction. I dont know about the bcool.

I have a fluidyne and highly recommend it. It just oozes quality.

The afco is the same way "100% welded". Very nice radiator.

It is a 2 core but the cores are 1" each so it is pretty stout.

Both the Fluidynes and BeCools are all welded Al. I got a Fluidyne for $320 from Holcomb Motorsports and a flex-a-lite electric fan. Both are totally awesome and highly rated by many. Fan rarely comes on.

Question

Thanks for all the advice, but I heard that Fludynes are great, but they leak a lot. Be-cools are false advertisment, and the way to go is Griffin. I was just worried on that whole you get what you pay for, and there is a big price differance. I also have anew Spal 16in electric fan.

Buy a Fluidyne, and get on with your life. They are the best. Check BB&T racing for decent prices on the fluidyne rads. they advertise in MM&FF.

Sounds like you may have already made up your mind...but I'll post my experience anyways!

I 've had a Griffen for about 3 years. Not one single problem. Cools so well it makes ice cubes on demand and looks great to boot. Nice piece.

I have had my afco for almost 2 years now and love it. I have not had any problems and they are just over $200.00.

The only complaint is they are a race radiator and have no drain plug at the bottom.
