Edmontonians I Need your help
 

I hit a real crunch here. We finally figured out what the problem in the 88 was. The tranny is toast. 3rd gear knocks and shakes and its all bad. So i need a new tranny and dont have much money. So im wondering if anyone in edmonton has or knows of a T-5 for sale. Also if anyones knows of a T5Z i could justify going for that.

i did the same thing with my 95gt i was on the highway and dropped it into 3rd dumped the clutch and BAMMMMMM it sheered all the teeth off of 3rd gear, i still drove on it so i damaged the cluster, you can get a kit from hanlon motorsports that comes with 2nd gear, 3rd gear, and the whole bottom cluster for $270.00, and while your in there i would replace the synchros too, if you have never done a trans rebuild before get the video from hanlon too, its step by step for $25.00, i rebuilt my tremec flawlessly with this video and it was my first time.
