EGR Spacer

Is it common practice to bypass the coolant tubes on the egr spacer? What are the benifets other than the obvious of not putting hot coolant through it.

Dont do it unless your EGR is blocked off. The coolant removes heat from the hotter EGR gasses.

Yeah, even though the coolant is hot, it's still cooler than hot exhaust gasses.
