Post carb spacer

I have a 4 hole spacer about an inch thick on the car now and I`m going to the track tonight. I`m thinking about removing the spacer and seeing what happens.
Is it possable that the spacer is hurting performance? I`m also going to lower my shift points to 5500.

trying to go 7`s

Cool

are you running the stock cam? 5500 might be to high then..
spacer just depends on the car...some like 'em, some dont.... doesnt cost anything to try it without it... so go for it ;-)
FWIW, worked out my best shift points to keep the engine in the power band...
1st-2nd-5700
2nd-3rd-5400
3rd-4th-5400
4th-5th-4080
this keeps the engine on the way up for the torque band...

265 on the mph/weight chart

A 1" spacer might be a bit much on a near stock motor. Generally a spacer matched correctly to the combo can give a little more top end power, but too tall of a spacer can really kill low end.
