Question BBK Equal Length Shorties - Install Question

I have just bought the BBK Equal Length, Jet Hot coated, 1-5/8" headers for my notch. Does anyone have any hints or tips to make the install go smoothly or is it a relatively easy install anyways? I have heard you have to raise the engine up a little to help fit them in the engine compartment, does anyone know if this is true?

One good thing to do is pull out all of the rubber hoses for the smog pump on the passenger side of the motor, don't try and just move them a little to get them out of your way. This only if you still have the smog equipment on your car.
I have the MAC 1 5/8 equal length and did not have to lift my motor or anything to get them to drop in.

Other then that just take your time and don't rush it when you do it.

The driver side header drops right in there, but "YOU WILL" have to raise up the passenger side of the engine to drop in the passenger side.

Like mentioned earlier remove the smog pump hoses to make it easier.

This isnt my opinion, I have the same headers as you

Dark_5.0 is right. Go ahead and plan on jacking up the passenger side of the engine to get them to drop in properly. You may need a breaker bar to get the motor mount bolt loose - I did.

Definitely get everything out of the way first, then just take your time with it and try not to scratch up the coating.

Good luck with the install and let us know if you have any questions.
