I love my Black Magic, cools nicely and only kicks on when it needs to. Only experience I've had. Cost $190 though. ~Brian

I use a Ford Focus twin fan, it fits like it was made for it. I use an aftermarket fan switch I bought for 30 bucks. It works great.

I looked at a lot of cheaper fans cause I didn't want to spend any more than I needed to. Some of them claim pretty high CFM's too, but then they don't come with any type of shroud and I wondered how much air they would pull from the same side of the radiator instead of through it... I ended up buying the Black Magic and have been very happy! It has a very nice shroud with a nice rubber seal clear around it, has it's own thermostatic switch and A/C relay all built in, comes with the mounting hardware which mounts it to the top and bottom of the raditor not THOUGH the core like most electrics and even come with a mounting bracket for the overflow bottle! I have had more than one friend see it and tell me they wish they had got the Black Magic instead of the cheaper one. Bottom line is it is more money but worth it is worth it. Will other electrics work? Sure, but not as nicely... Good luck with whatever you decide.

I don't remember the exact cost but it was not far from $200 and I ordered it from Summit. I don't know if you can shop around and get it any cheaper or not... You can also buy a Black Magic that is not Mustang specific for less money but then you don't get all that other cool stuff with it, like the mounting hardware, overflow bottle bracket and I'm not sure about the switch and relay.

I guess I am about the only one who is going to bad mouth Black Magic. I had their electric fan on my Mustang for about 2 months, and hated everyday of it. it didn;t seem to cool that well when it was over 100* outside, or even in the 90's for that matter. I could never tell when the fan was on, unless the temp went even higher than it normally sat. I had a problem with the elctric male connectors out of the control module that you plug the wires into breaking off. Was driving down the road one day, temnp got up to like 240, so I pulled over and noticed the wire came off. Went to put it back on and the whole connector had falln off. Just things like that is why I didn;t care for the electric fan. I love my heavy duty police fan and clutch. Just my $.02.

Chris

I'm running a cheepo autozone 16" electric fan that was 80 bucks and it cools fine. It will hammer a 75 amp alternator though, I"m running a G3 and it still pulls it down pretty good. I don't know the CFM.
Here is a picture of it
