Electric water pump?
What is the gain with one, 0.10? I just got a mini-starter and a CSI water pump. And ordered the K member and A arms from D&D. I just want to know if any one has ever actually saw a gain from the elec. pump?

I wish I could run an electric pump, but my class rules dont allow it. Hopefully next year
How did your car run on the top end with the 28's? Andy

I have not gone again. I plan to go wed night. The 275/60s are 28" and with them I was on the rev limiter about 100ft before crossing. I put the mini starter on today. I will put the water pump and cam after I track test with slicks Wed. The the K member and A arms, they will be here Mon or Tues.

maybe not much of a gain, but I definately am planning to go with CSI with the 331 build up, which is starting this week, for the extra flow.

I'm not sure how much HP I freed-up (maybe 10??).... but it sure is nice to just turn on the water pump and electric fan to cool down real quick after making a pass. ...that's the best part about it, IMO. That, and it cleans up the engine bay (looks good too).
You should consider using one of the restrictors/washers in your thermostat housing (moroso makes them) if you plan on taking advantage of what I mentioned. I use the biggest washer in the kit... FWIW, I use a Meziere pump and love it!! |
