Post electrical prob with wifes 90GT, please help

When you turn the headlights on,the tach drops to zero, both turn signal indacators come on,temp gauge goes all the way up past 270,fuel gauge shows full. oil pressure gauge is not affected. It is a 90GT stock auto,It was fine then It was parked 3 weeks cause of radiator probs, after I get the radiator in It gives me this problem 3 days later. I've checked the wires under the hood nothing looks shorted or pinched.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thnks for any help

Check the headlight connections and the wires going along the radiator's cross brace thoroughly, 'cause that's the only area that's changed on the car really. You're probably going to have to tear into the instrument cluster and look closer if you can't find the problem. My guess is a wire crossed somewhere. It's not scary as it sounds, though. You need a phillips screwdriver, ¼-inch ratchet, a 3/8- or 5/16-inch socket with extension, a ¼-inch socket, and a T15 Torx bit...that and a little patience. Good luck.

I had that same problem when my battery was going dead, when it would get low volts, all the gauges would go up... weird. Worked fine when I got the new battery...

It sounds like a ground problem. I will also recommend looking around the radiator for loose ground wires. You might also want to trace the wires from the headlights themselves and locate their ground.

Take care
