Question Electrical problems

I've had my 93' since Jan.94', and have done a large amount of mods. The list of mods is quite long so I won't go into that, my question is my lights dim when I'm stopped at a light or when the car is just idling, I currently have a 75 amp alt. in the car. What amp alt. should I install to keep the lights from dimming and the alternator gauge from dropping? Any help would be most, well helpful, Thanks.

I used to be having charging problems as well. Mine was because i had just had a stock replacement alt (65A) and it wasnt meeting my needs since i installed the electric fuel pump, electric fan and the big stereo. I went out and bought a powermaster 100amp alt and it works great. I switched over to 1 wire when i did it so it cleans things up a bit as well. And since then i havent had any pwoblems with power. But when i got it i was low on money and actually made the chevy alt fit since it was cheaper and i didnt need the 130 amp.

Are you running underdrive pullies? If so, you need to upgrade to a 3G 130A alternator and the problem will go away. The stock alt - was simply was not strong enough if you add a stereo, elec fan, especially with pullies.
