electronics problem: please help!
 

i drove my friend's 91 5.0 vert the other day and decided to get a little crazy...i floored it in 1st gear and the gas stuck to the floor for about 5 seconds and redlined the piss out of the motor. when the car came to a stop, everything seemed fine, but we soon learned that all the interior lights, the door ajar buzzer, the power mirrors, the trunk light and parts of the radio weren't working. the radio turns on and off, you can adjust the balance and the eq, but you can't change the channel and the clock display/channel display doesn't work. what is going on?? what's hooked up to all these things that could have gone wrong? and how do i fix it??

Have you checked all the fuses?

Maybe when you floored it the gas pedal hung up on a wire and broke the wire, or shorted it to ground.

Next time turn the key off.

Sounds like you spiked the voltage and took out a interior lighting fuse.
