Emissions related? Check Engine Light
It's on my truck but it should all be the same as a 5.0 stang. Check engine light came on the other day. SMog pump was makin a bad noise so I replaced it, Took the battery off to clear the codes and the check engine light went out. Drove it for two more days and the light came back on. I hooked it up to my buddies diagnostic tester and it give an egr code. I replaced it last night. Drove form his shop home and no light (about 7 miles) Crank the truck and start to work this morning and about 10 miles into the trip, you guess it check engine light back on. When we hooked it up to his computer the EGR cose was the only code flashing. Is there something we could've missed???? Any ideas on what next.

What, specifically, was the code? Did you reset the ECM after replacing the EGR valve?

The Check Engine Light isnt flashing a "Code" persay. I say code as it just being on, my bad. I did reset the ECM after I replaced the EGR valve last night. Drove it home and it came on this morning. When we hooked it up to the Computer it said the EGR had "Insufficient Airflow" so I replaced it. It was nasty when I took it off. I tried to clean the port into the plenum as best I could before I installed the new valve. Any ideas.
