Emissions...(will I pass?)
Hello,
Emissions are coming up (yay!). I passed easily two years ago, but that was before any of my mods. All my mods are listed below in my signature. Basically, my cam is kinda worrying me. I don't remember seeing a 50-state legal thing when I bought it. I am mainly wondering if there is anything I should be worried about. I currently do have my original cats on for daily driving. Also, if I do pass now, would I pass with an X-pipe with hi-flo cats? Thanks, DoranW

Take it to an independent shop and run an emission check to see if it will pass. If not, then you have time to do what needs to be done before the State inspection due date.

Tune it up with new parts, set the timing to 10 degrees, and get it as hot as you can just prior to the test.
Trust me. Take care, -Chris

Is there anything I can do to pass without changing parts. This is for the NYS inspection. Look in my sig for parts. I also have an offroad h-pipe. My other mustang passes with no cats, but the engine is stock, basically.

Well u could always try going to a private dealer, slipping him an extra 30-50 dollars, have him put in your vin and then have him drive up his little daily driver for the actual tests. Seems to work well.

accually, my uncle runs a Sunoco station. We will just have to make sure the owner isn't there.
