engine lite blinks only when accelerating
 

Just wondered if someone has had this problem... i have a 92 5.0, and whenever i apply the gas, the check engine light blinks on, then off, then on etc....Its driving me nuts!!! Car drives fine though. :p

Could just be a loose wire that gets stretched when you accelerate but it could also be a number of other items that kick in at higher RPM, such as the EGR.

I suggest a code scan to find out what's happening and possibly avoid a future problem. That light is trying to tell you something, even though it might be something fairly minor.

I've seen the TPS do this in a car I worked on several years ago. We put an aftermarket throttle body on the car with a new TPS and it disappeared. Then for sure I knew it was the TPS. The Force:)

EGR
 

I give a good guess ,also on EGR remove it and spray it good with throttle body cleaner ...Not carb cleaner .. hope that works .. If not give the old disconnect the battery for 30 min. routine ,, ( ;)
