Default valve cover gaskets? which ones?

Hi fellas, i been collecting gaskets for my head swap, i got the mr.gaskets cork thick ones (valve cover), will these work? i like them thick to clear rockers, right now i have the felpros on with the little inserts, but the parts store was out of them, seems like last time i used these mr.gasket's yrs ago i got a leak, but i'll try them again if anyone has good to say on them.

I know the rubber ones are the best, but i dont want them at this point.
thnx.

Cool

I have had good luck with both. I like to silicon them to the valve cover and lightly grease the surface going to the head itself. Like this you can pull them a few times before actually replacing them.

Motorsport makes valve cover gaskets that have a 3/16 metal frame with o-rings on both sides you get the clearance and you can reuse them many times. I had mine off 6+ times no leaks, work good, just an option.

The above gaskets are the best way to go, IMHO... I've been using the same set for the last 8yrs. ...and have had the valve covers off several hundred times. Well worth the initial cost vs. the cork gaskets

Don't get me wrong, though, as the as the cork gaskets will work just fine......

Get the Moroso #93060 it is the last valve cover gasket you will ever buy. I put them on all my customers cars, there is none better.
