Post engine type

hello, im wondering if my engine is the h.o. or not. it came from an 83 and the guy that i bought it from said it was stock. the only motor that is a v8 in 83 was a h.o. however the h.o. firing order doesnt work, but the regular 302 does. can anyone help. no vin number, but i do have the valve cover stamp, but dont know what the numbers on it stand for. any help on either topic would be helpful. thanks
