I want to remove the tubes all together |

![]() My worst case solution is to put a break in the heater hose hith a fitting for the sensor. I'm puting the motor in a 67 and I want to delete egr, canister, air pump and run heater hoses. I want to get rid of the coolant tube as well........just trying to make it look as vintage as possible

![]() If you don't have the tubes, what are you going to connect the heater hoses to?

![]() Make sure you put a hose clamp on that nipple, hot water shooting out when your not expecting it would be a bad day. Wouldn't a tube look cleaner than a hose running all the way back to the firewall? IMO anyway.

![]() I removed my heater and those tubes and got an adapter for the ECT and installed where the heater tube went into the lower intake. I haven't had any problems and you can tie the wires in with the injector wiring to keep it looking clean.

![]() I took out the heater. I went to replace the heater core a couple of years ago and decided not to put the heater back in when I realized how much useless plastic came out. Actually I live in Washington and only drive the car occassionally now.
