The directions said to trim it right before the pyramid starts (the bottom of the boot area). So that's what I did. But I can also see right to the ground when the shifter bezzel is off. I tried triming it closer to the shifter but it wouldn't fit right. I am going to try to go to a junk yard and pick another plate up with the dust cover stapled on just like it is suppost to be and get creative.
But the thing is, the heat doesn't seem like it's comming from there. It feels like it's comming from the rear tray area and parking break slit. All that heat from not having the dust cover on? Hard to beleive. The heat isn't coming from the shifter bezel, it's just noisy w/ out the cover.
I also want to be able to adjust the stop bolts if I have to w/ out having the dust cover in the way. Any recommendations when I get the new cover and plate?
