Default Popping exhaust: Short

Hey
I recently installed my BBK h pipe and Magnaflow cat back.
Since the installation, the exhaust has been popping when I start it and when I take my foot off the gas. I read a few old posts and heard that it might be ok but I just want to make sure. I just don't think it sounds like it is a good thing.

Is it real loud popping? You might want to check the connection to yuor h pipe and make sure there are no leaks. Let us know. By the way, thanks for the pics, the catback looks gorgeous, and man are those tips huge!

Yeah, they are huge. I'm glad the pics went through for ya.
I have to wait until the weekend to check the seals. I just moved to an apartment on sunday and don't have access to the tools now. Have to go home to do that.
I'll check it out as soon as I get the chance.
If there was a leak, would I be able to tell by listening under the car at all or will it only make noise at the back?

Generaly popping is caused by leaks.... nice fresh oxygen gets into the exhaust and actulay ignites little flamming chunks of unburned fuel... and whatever else is in there... poping could sounds kinda wierd... though I had a 72 cutlass and it would let off a nice grumble when I let off the gas... kinda liked it...

More than likely it will just be popping out of the back.
