exploer intake???
ok whats up with exploer intake why is it just as good as some like gt 40 and ed.brock are the air passages bigger
and would it be better then a stock ported one?? just woundering:) |
Yhe explorer intake is almost as good as a Cobra intake...
The GT40 is slightly better. The edelbrock is better too. Dont waste your money on a Cobra intake unless you want the "look" of it. Otherwise if your really on a budget go for the Explorer intake. But i picked up my TrickFlow intake for $255 used upper and lower! And I know it flows more than the cobra intake. :D |
Its way better than a stock ported intake. And some test show it to be better than the GT-40 intake.
I like me explorer intake, |
intake?
so what you guys are saying is if i got one for free take??
now would it fit my stock heads that have ben shaved?? |
Jump on it for free!!!!!!!!!!! Most sell for $200+
It's just as good as the GT40 or Cobra. On stock heads it's a great port match but if your not going to change heads then a properly ported stocker can make equal or slightly better power/torque and usually can be bought for less. Paste the link in my sig for more info on the stock lower. |
hey tmoss, i saw your dyno attachment on one of your postings. it torque looks really decent for stock heads. i was wondering if i would pick up more torque with stock heads ported on the exhaust side, and possibly a magnum 270 camshaft. would this be a good cam for torque, or could i do better?
|
stocker can??
no i wasn't going to change heads but i was going to port the explorer intake uper and lower
would i benefit with that over my ported stock 5.0 intake? ok and what the hell is a STOCKER CAN?? Never heard of such thing need more info to learn about it |
