Just a heads up for you - I had an Explorer intake and mine had no provision for EGR. Check if the base has the EGR passage in the center and the upper also has that passage to the EGR spacer. I think some years might have. You're just down the hill from me, and with these dyno smog tests we run around here it may cause high NOX readings. If you do use it, disable the EGR valve.

Thanks For the help... the intake does have provisions for EGR ( i guess i got lucky huuh) i just recently passed smog with an off road H-pipe (no cats) it was a leaglr check to) and i am going to get a 2 cat pipe so i wont get busted at the local street races. will i still have a problem with the NOX reading evne though i have the EGR provisions on the intake.

PS.WITHAMC thanks for the help i youve probalbly seen me around i HAVE a PERFORMANCE RED GT AFS cobra R wheels and it has primer spots all over it due to a pending Repaint job SEE you around i practically live in T.O...

PSS FASTANG The explores came with GT-40 Style intakes and GT-40P heads (different spark plug location for use with a different header.) Ford did this on a differnt block, not the standard 5.0 block. probably so they could get more tork and HP. about 225hp i hear but gobs and gobs of tork.
