Does anyone know if a 65mm throttle body off of an explorer will fit onto a 90' mustang???

I just modified one to work on mine. You have to take the rod out of the original TB and machine it so it will accept the 65mm throttle plate. The gap for the plate has to be roughly .185 bigger (I went .093/side) for the 65mm plate to fit in there correctly.

Then you have to machine the TPS mounting surface down .380" There is also a spot on the original TB behind the TPS that is notched. You can see the notch on the original TB but it's not there on the Explorer one so you have to put that in there too. It's best to put the notch in when you machine the TPS surface.

All that is needed is a Bridgeport mill and a half inch endmill. Oh yeah, you have to machine the EGR spacer out too. You need a boring head cutter for that.

If you want to come to our race next weekend I can show you what I had to do. Email me if you are interested. It's in Morocco Indiana which is about a 3 hour drive from you. There are over 70 cars coming so far and about 60 are Stangs.
