Default Extender Question

Will the SVO Extender (1994-1995) work with the j4j1 or does it have to be modified?

I was thinking of buying one to get rid of the tip in retard and to adjust the air fuel ratio on my 1994 Cobra.

Any help on this matter will be apreciated.

Thanks

Default Re: Extender Question

Disregard the previous post I have found that it must be modified for the j4j1.

Anyone know how to get a hold of Sam Guido or know anyone selling an extender modified for 1994-1995 Cobra's?

Thanks

i don't know, but I could sell you an EPEC for a 94/95 Quite a bit more powerful than an extender, but also a bit more expensive

Talking Re: Extender Question

I appreciate the offer on the EPEC. I dont have a laptop and was looking to just cut the tip in and adjust the air/fuel ratio. Sam Guido the Extender expert is hard to find even if I bought one it would need to be fixed by him for the j4j1. Also thought about a custom chip to solve the problems.

I have heard disconecting the cruise control at the tranny will fix the fuel dump/timing pull at 9x MPH. I've also heard disconnecting one of the two clutch sensor wires will take care of the tip in. I'am not sure of those street remedies and if they will work since the j4j1 is so finicky it will probably throw codes at me. Plus the new engine will need to be tuned as soon as money allows and it's broken in.

I will keep you in mind if I go with a tuner.

Thanks for the reply.
