a/f gauge acting weird. I think?
I just got it installed and tested it out today. The gauge dosn't bounce around like people said they would. It has a stable reading all the time (idle, part throtal, wot). It's working because the gauge will change readings when I accelerate, and coast.
Why do I have a feeling that my car never go's into open loop and takes readings from the 02's to correct the a/f raito. I have a custom chip burned for my setup, would this have anything to do with it? ------------------ 79 hatch w/ NA 347,stage 2 Canfield heads, out of the box Victor 5.0 intake, solid roller cam, Aeromotive fuel system, proshifted TKO II.MY CAR http://www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/...splay.cgi?1288 93lx all stock + tremec |

What does the gauge read when you first start it up (cold)? When idling (warm)? At half throttle (warm)? At full throttle (warm)?

On start up it says it's lean, and will slowley climb up to stoitch as the engine warms up. When it is warm and idling it reads stoitch. At part throtal when warm it will stay stoich, but when there is a load on the motor it will move around a little but never go rich or lean. At wot it will move close to rich, but never get in the red (rich). When doing enging breaking it will go a little lean.
I have a custom chip burned for a blower combo, that would explain why it almost go's rich as the rpm's climb at wot. The car runs good no bucking or surging so it seems to be working corectly. |

Sounds like it's not going into closed loop.
