Default How Do You Tell If Its Forged?

Just wondering due to my tear down on my engine I noticed some interesting finds not exactly common to your average enthusiast and was wondering if maybe some of the internals are actaully forged as i almost believe the combo was blown before i got it?

How would I go about telling this? Any easy way?

Could i just get a part numer off the rods and crank and acall the company unless they are ford pieces?

I know i can get one of the pistons.

FYI, the only "late" model 5.0's that did NOT come with forged was 93. They had the hypereutechtic pistons, although some supposedly had forged.

If you have a stock block, then you have forged pistons.

I believe the late model 302's came with TRW forgings and 93's had the hypereutectics.
