since i have had my stang it has always had the stock electronic distributor. recently i wasnt getting any spark, so my father decided to put a points distributor from his 67 ford in..sure enough, it started right up?????i have changed the module, and wires, and even the distributor, but it will not work..it only runs with the points distributor...WHY???Can anybody please help???? :mad:

Something must've been bad in the solid state components in the other distributors (hall sensor, pickup,etc). Were they new? What brand?

i actually bought 2. one was from auto zone, and one was from ford.
