Post FINALLY!! SHE's ALIVE!!!!!!! But won't idle....die's when I back off the gas-HELP!

First I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to return my (many, many) posts. She finally fired up today but I had to give her gas to do so. And the minute I back out of the throttle she dies...quick!! But I don't have a check engine light on and while I got the foot on the gas man she purrs. We can't time it if it can't idle, right? Also, my engine builder was holding the throttle open to keep her going and when he touched the fender with his elbow he got a shock. And it happened more than once. anyone with any ideas?? TPS switch (is it adjustable?) or maybe fuel pressure?? Please help as she just won't idle. But when I step on it, WOW!

as a temporary fix only, you could try to turn up the idle screw if you still have that bracket if not make one, then unplug the idle air control, this has worked on lots of cars around here, it will hunt for idle for a few seconds only then it should idle well . hope it works. good luck with the car.

Where is the idle screw. Is that up on top of the TPS sensor mounted on the Throttle body? Also, where is the idle air control? Is that one of the vac. lines? Thanks
