![]() I just took my car to the track last night, I've only run one other time a few years ago in my 86 GT butn ot in my notchback. My old car went 14.7 with a few mods. My newer car is totally stock except for a Steeda shifter and exhaust (BBk longtubes/Dr. Gas 3''- 2 1/2"x-pipe/Flowmaster 2 chambers/turndowns). Here's the numbers, I don't know a lot about what kind of E.T. I should have with a certain mph/60ft/etc so any info on how much faster I should be would be good. I only got to run it twice, one practice and the I got beat by a couple hundreths cause I let off for a second when I noticed my hood wasn't fully closed.
![]() Run 1: 60ft- 2.391 1/8- 9.498 1/4- 14.587 mph- 96.96 Run 2: 60ft- 2.301 1/8- 9.390 1/4- 14.556 mph- 96.21

![]() you 60' time shows your on sreet tires and spinning, right? notice in the 2nd run where you 60' was a tenth better? you time in the 1/8 mile picked and would have been betetr in the 1/4 too! get some tires on that thing and you should be able to pick up about half a second or so. mph isn't that stron but still with traction you should be running better.

![]() Actually the SBC was in my 85 Astrovan, but I parted it out after an insurance claim in february and bought the Black 90 Notchback. It's totally stock except for exhaust.

![]() Oh yeah, I went to the track again on friday for test & tune night and got around 8-9 runs in. The best was 14.463 @ 96.65mph with a 2.22 60ft., I launched pretty low and bogged it a little but barely spun compared to the rest of my runs which were between 14.5 and 14.8. My friends coupe went 13.8 at around 103-104mph, I posted about his red Notchback getting dynoed a few weeks ago which put out 270 hp and around 310 ft/lbs. He couldn't get a good launch but I'd think he should be faster than that????? I want to get my rear built up then I'll try some slicks.

![]() Looks like you should start to look at some sub-frame connectors (if not already on) and some traction devices! You can do some basic stuff like relocate the battary to the trunk and remove the front sway-bar (if your comfortable with that.) Then go back and see what it runs.
Good Luck |

![]() Yeah, I'm gonna try and install some Maximum Motorsports full length subframe connectors before or while I'm building the rear, I don't really want to mess anything up. I'd like to beef up my torque boxes also, who sell a good torque box kit?
