![]() I thought I knew what I needed but after buying a used flexplate I'm coming up with conflicting info/results. Here's where I am so far. I'm using my '88 5.0 and I want to install the C4 that I just built. According to one of my parts sources they're telling me that I need the 157 tooth 50 oz flexplate. That's what I thought I bought but after counting the teeth I found out that I bought the 164 tooth flexplate. When I hold this flexplate in the bellhousing of the C4 there isn't a whole lot of clearance but as far as I can tell it looks like the starter wants to mate up with the 164 tooth wheel. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
