Red face PASSING SMOG

MY CAR IS DUE FOR ITS BY YEARLY SMOG CHECK AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY OUT THERE COULD GIVE ME SOME GOOD ADVICE ON HELPING TO GET IS TO PASS. EVERYTHING I HAVE ON IT IS SMOG LEGAL AND I ALSO HAVE THE CARB STICKERS TOO. RECENTLY I HAD THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST PIPES PUT BACK ON, AN RAN A FULL TANK OF GAS IN IT. THE STOCK PIPES HAVE BEEN ON FOR A WEEK NOW AND IM NOT SURE IF THE CAR HAS ADJUSTED TO THEM YET. SEEMS TO BE RUNNING FINE THOUGH, NO GASSY SMELL FROM THE TIPS AND I CANT FIND ANYTHING THAT WOULD BE OUT OF THE ORDINARY. (THANKS IN ADVANCE)

An oil change wouldn't hurt, and make sure air cleaner element is clean.

Do you have any problems that make you think you won't? the only thing you need to do is have all the smog equipment (you say you have that) and have the car in tune. if you haven't done it recently, replace the cap, rotor, and plugs. also, change the oil.

I thought Lodi was in one of the smog exempt counties! Damn! Oh well. It sounds like it will pass the visual. The best way to pass the sniffer is to get the engine as hot as possible before going in. Take the long way to the shop, and stay in 2nd gear. All any car needs to pass smog on the sniffer out here is a good set of cats brought up to temp. You will probably be fine, but get it hot first just to be safe.

Take care

Thumbs up

You gotta change the oil and tune it up. New plugs, wires, rotor, air filter, etc. Also drive around for at least 30 minutes. Make sure your cats are OK.
