![]() I have seen new 3-core Brass/Copper radiators on e-bay for $119.99 that are for a 5.0 Mustang. Do these sound good or not. I would like to spend around $200 at the most. They seem alright to me.
I have also seen Aluminum 5.0 radiators new on e-bay for $220. This sounds way too cheap for an aluminum. The description says they are 2-core, but have a depth equal to a 4-core brass/copper. I can't tell if this sounds good or not. If any of you know where I can get a good radiator with increased cooling capacity for around $200, please let me know. My stock 114,000 mile one is leaking like a faucet. ![]() I don't know about cars specifically, but i do know that for displacing heat into air, copper is better than aluminum a little bit, so if you are looking for increased capacity, go with it. An aluminum wouldn't be bad though, its thermal resistance isn't much higher, but its more durable (copper is very soft).

![]() Go with Pep Boys. If you go with an aluminum get either a BeCool or Fluidyne. I think a lot of the other aluminum radiators are held together with epoxy vs. BeCool and Fluidyne which are Tig welded.

![]() The description in the ad says it is tig welded and doesn't use epoxy, like some other aluminum radiators.
The pepboys deal does sound pretty good though. I'm borrowing my grandma's van for now until I can decide which radiator to get. Plus I have to wait until Monday or Wednesday to fix it, because those are my only days off. Thanks for your help, I'm still thinking though. ------------------ 1991 GT, AOD, Moroso Cold Air, 3.73s, Pulleys, 3-chamber(the left one fell off-NO time+No Money=College), FMS c-springs, and KYBs |

![]() I went to the pep-boys in eastpointe and bought the 3-row rad for $106 with tax. Seems to work fine in my car. I have heads, cam, and intake and A/C. I only have a fan problem, I need to get more cfm with the A/C on, it heats up in traffic.

![]() I went and got mine at autozone(pretty much like pep-boys). It was $149 for the heavy duty 3 core one. It's worked awesome, no problems at all!

![]() I think pep boys is the way to go. Thanks.
I'm not too worried about it heating up with A/C, because mine doesn't work and I'll be removing it soon. |

![]() Why not do a little of manufacturing and pic up a griffen aluminum radiator from summit for a little less than $200 to your door? I have one and it works way better than a brass one and at the same time looks great.
