flywheel question

Will the flwheel from my 95 LX work with a 5.0 engine?

If your talking about a 95 with the six cylinder then, no it wont.

Does it matter what weight the flywheel is? I saw one that was 50 oz and one that was 28 oz.

Lighter is better, less rotating mass = more power. Lighter flywheels, such as billet aluminum also cost more money though.

The 50 oz and 28oz refer to the imbalance in the flywheel. You would need the 50 oz one. I think all the 5.0's since '83(?) have been the 50 oz.

The weight does refer to an imbalance in the flywheel. What is critical is that you have it matched with the balancer. Up through 1979, both the balancer and the flywheel had an engine imbalance of 28.2 ounces (for 5.0 engines). From 1982 on, this changed. The imbalance in the flywheel grew to 50 ounces, and in the balancer it grew to 34 ounces. It is critical that your balancer and your flywheel are a matched set, ie: both are 28.2 ounce, or 50/34 ounce.
