Flywheel not resurfaced will it cause problems?

Hey guys, as you might have read in my post titled "Clutch Installed..Few Questions" I did not get to get my flywheel resurfaced when I installed my clutch. So now I need to know if this is going to cause problems. If so, what might they be??

If it is that important I will take it out and have it done before I get any more miles on it. I only have 40 miles on the new clutch so far.

Like I posted in your last message. It will drive out. I think it took me about 250 miles to get it back to ease. Whats it called when its doing that is "chadder." It will work out.

If you didn't resurface your Flywheel it is posible you won't get full grip from your clutch. When a clutch starts wearing it wont wear flat so your flywheel is not as flat as your new clutch. It may wear in

I would drive it real easy for about 500 miles at least.
You could burn it out.
A pressure plate is not flat..it has a taper to it. And not starting w/ a flat flywheel isn't a great idea.
500 miles is minimum...maybe even closer to 1000.
I would take my chances though.....Not worth redoing it for $160.
It's worth the gamble of having to buy a new one if the old one burns up.

I had a friend of mine tell me the same thing so another friend and I got together Sat. morning and took the flywheel out to get resurfaced. It was a lot of work considering I just put the clutch in a week ago and had to turn around and do it again the next week. I guess that is what you get for not doing it right the first time. Wasn't too bad since both times I didn't drop the stock h-pipe. I simply unbolted the crossmember and slid it back. This doesn't allow for a ton of room to work but it saves a lot of time.
