Question FMS 1.6 install ?

I'm installing these 1.6 FMS rr stud mount on AFR 165 cc.
Here is the Question.
I place the rocker on the stud (on cylinder on its compression stroke), tighten the adjuster nut till I feel resistance while turning the pushrod. One resistance is felt 1/2 turn more, then lock with the set screw. My question is I notice the spring start to compress a litte when I do the 1/2 turn from zero lash, is this Okay????????

Thanks.

added info:
Once the rockers on a cylinder are set up. Then, you turn the engine to next firing order the rocker on a cylinder already installed get loose (able to wiggle rocker from side to side, just alittle not much). Is this also normal????

Yes thats fine. The lifter will bleed off which will close the valve.

Mine have the small amount of side to side movement like you describe, and always have. Its nothing to worry about.

The way I've always tightened them is to move the pushrod up and down with your figers until you can't anymore, then tighten it down a half turn past that. Your way works too, it's just that it's easier to tell if it's stopped moving up and down then it is to feel the resistance on a small cylindrical smooth object like pushrods.

Hope this helps, good luck
