Default FMU question

I have a 8lb Paxton set up with 30lb injectors, Adj fuel reg, 255lbh intank. I currently am useing a FMU set up for 30lb injectors. When the car is under full boost the fuel pressure is about 65psi. Do I need this much fuel, and how can I find out what I might Actually need. ALso does anyone know there is a knob on top of my FMU does that adjust the ratio at all
Thanks

Default Re: FMU question

Someone should probably move this to the power adders section, you might get more responses there. From my understanding the FMU IS what adjusts the ratio, there is no knobb that you can further adjust on the FMU. If you changed out the gaskets in the FMU for 30lb injectors then that's all you can do. With the 30lb squirters though you should be safe to remove the FMU completely. A lot of people like to tune without the FMU if they have large enough injectors. The whole point of the FMU is to jack up the pressure under boost so the small injectors can keep up with the larger fuel requirment, if you already have the 30's, you can ditch the FMU. Best way to find out if your running too much/not enough fuel is with a wideband. You CAN pull the plugs right after a full boost pass and see what they look like as well. And when i say right after I mean right after, I would shut the car down after the 1/4 mile mark and pull over, pull the plug. Good luck.
