Default Fog lamps to running lamps

How can I change my fog lamps to day time running lamps. I'd like them to come on when I turn on my parking lights. At present they come on only with my low beams. It's a '98' GT.

I don't have fog lights or a wiring diagram in front of me, so you will have to look up the wire colors at home.

Currently the power supply for the fog lights comes from the power to your low beams. To make them come on with your parking lights you will need to change from that to the wire that powers your parking lights.

Get your hands on a good wiring diagram and see where the connection is. It should be on only one side of the car. The easiest way to do it would be a cut and splice, but I'm thinking with a little more work it will be much cleaner in the long run.

Good luck.

I've always wanted to do this, but I've never had the time/patience to go through it all. But here's an in-depth article on how to re-wire your fog lights:

If you're messing with lights, you might want to try this out, too. It's sequential turn signals, looks good if you know how to do it:

Hope this helps...

Follow that link that Titan posted. It is a very easy process. I did it on my 97 GT.

Thanks to all who replied. I used Brian Carr's method posted by Stinger. I decided running lites without parking lites would be the best. Useing the conv. top power lead worked great and was easy.
