![]() I started to tear down my car last night to put my AFR heads and stuff on and when I removed the upper intake I found it was covered in a fuel/oil mixture, but it was more fuel than oil. I also noticed that when I removed one of the vacuum lines that runs along the fire wall from the bottom of the intake to the passenger side fender it had fuel in it. I couldn't see where it went though. Anyone know what might be the problem? BTW- there is no fuel in the vacuum line from the FPR, so I don't think it is leaking.

![]() That vacuum line goes to the charcoal canister. That's where evaporative emissions from the fuel tank go. It gets opened during part throttle so the fumes are sucked back into the intake to be burned. Did it have liquid fuel, or did it just smell like fuel?

![]() The hose that comes from the canister and goes to the Performer, but not the Performer RPM. I had the Performer and then got a Performer RPM upper which doesn't use the canister hose. With the regular Performer upper, I had a puddle of fuel/little oil mix with a funky smell. I guess since the fuel gets sucked back into the intake from the canister(jimberg), the fuel hits the backplate, falls and continuously puddles up before it gets sucked down. The oil comes from the lower. Some oil slips past the baffle, through the PCV valve and into the intake at high RPM's.
Good luck |

![]() JIMBERG- the fuel was a liquid film on the back plenum cover and a puddle on the bottom of it. Anyone else have a clue about this as I doubt it is normal.

![]() I have the same thing going on with my Edel. Performer intake. Its a fuel/oil mix, but there's usually not too much of it there. I thought maybe its coming through the oil fill vent tube thats plugged into the throttle body, just a guess tho.
