Does anyone know how much all the sound insolation in the fenderwells, under the carpet, in the trunk, and the rear seats, spare tire and jack; also the tar paper on the floor pan all weigh in a 91 GT?

Has anyone taken all this out? If so what did you pick up in the 1/4 mile? The thick insolation under the carpet in the trunk area has to wiegh 15 lbs.

I would really like to drop 200 LBS from my 3450 lbs (with me in it) mustang somehow without replacing any body components. Thanks.

I guess it's a good thing I have an 82 GT because I weigh 235lbs and me and the car weigh 3275lbs!

i have heard that all that weighs about 100lbs which would put you about a tenth faster, i dont think its worth it, unless you are trying to get every little tenth that you can.
