front springs
I have put new bushings, tie-rod ends, and struts on my '87. It still drives 'hard' in the front.
Any way to tell if it's had trick springs put on it previously? A bumpy road makes it feel like the front end will jar loose. I'd as soon have something tighter than a stock spring, but if these are 'street' springs, they suck. They bottom very easily for every day driving. How can you tell in retrospec....? |

Usually, if they are Ford springs, they will have a green tag on them with the spring rate in black. It might not be there though due to weather I like Eibach for sport springs. If you lower you car, make sure you get caster/camber plates. You probably already know that, but you'll be suprised how many ppl don't know that. I am currently running Eibach's Sprot Springs with a 2" drop. I really like how it handles and the agressive look it gave my stang. I am redoing my suspension so thoses are going bye-bye I am installing drag springs here in a few weeks.

springs
Thanks,
Looked, no tags or marks. Guess I'll go for new springs and see what I get. Puting drag springs on, pretty well keeps you off the average road, unless you have a good bladder doesn't it? Not sure thats where I want to go. |
