FRPP techs suggest getting 1.7rrs to fix ticking, BUT
Ever since I have installed these GT-40Y heads I have heard a tapping. Sometimes louder than usual. Even after rebuild it remained. I called up Ford Racing PP tech line and they suggested measuring each valve spring to see if it has enough clearance, but also they suggested to get 1.7rrs just to be sure, since these heads are supposed to be equipped with them. They said the tapping should go away. NOW, my question is FRPP 1.7rrs are $250?? and in my newest Jegs I have noticed a roller rocker that is 1.7 Ration for 7/16 stud for $179.99. Quite a buy! It is made from CraneCams Energizer. Are these junk? Should I just pay the extra money for the Ford's or are these sufficient enough? Also, hard hard are these to install? PLease HelP!

The Crane 1.7 Energizers are the same ones used on the 93-95 Cobras. Crane made these for Ford. So, they are probably not junk.
