FRPP Super Duty T-5
Anyone out there running this tranny? I have 4.10's with a stock T-5. I virtually have no first gear, and I tach about 2500 rpm at 73 mph. Do you think the higher gears would help out much?? Also when I run the quarter mile I have to shift into 5th gear, which costs me a few tenths.

Lose the gears then. 4.10s are obviously too much if you need to shift to 5th. Dropping back to 3.73s seems to be the best option.

Yeah, I was thinking about doing that but I'm building up another 351 with about 400 HP, so I might wait to put the gears in until I see how it runs with the new motor. My T-5 has had a long 15 years of abuse behind it so it's time to put a better one in anyway.

With that kind of HP, 3.55s should be sufficient unless it will be hitting peak at like 7000rpms. 4.10s will be WAY too much gear for that kind of engine.
