Default Fuel Injector Questions??

Okay, I want to use my buddy's 24# injectors to break my motor in, instead of using my 42's. However, when I pulled his out of the lower intake, 3 or 4 of the little brown cap things at the bottom of the injector were broken completely off. the O-Rings and everything are still there, but those caps are missing. Now, I don't see how those caps serve any purpose, other than to keep the o'rings on there, so is it okay to use the injectors eventhough they are missing? HELP! Josh

i had the same problem, so i just put them in without the cap and it runs fine and i have no leaks. so i would say go ahead.

my 19#'s were broken too when I was planning on just doing the intake and I asked my neighbor, a serious drag racer, if he thought they were ok and he said they would be fine.
