Fuel lines
I am in need of some help witht he fuel lines at the rear of the car.
The rubber supply line that goes from the fuel tank to the fuel filter has been melted by my tailpipes. Unfortunately, Ford does not make this part and I have yet to find anyone that has a replacement. Also, it turns out that the line is not completely rubber. There is a plastic tube that runs inside and the rubber is just a cover. This means that splicing in a piece of rubber fuel hose will be pretty much impossible. Does anyone have any ideas or sources for this hose? Thanks, Eric |

A new fuel pump assembly will replace those lines. It's about $200 for the whole shebang.

I just called up the Ford parts department here in town and they said its $190, but its just the pump, no lines.
Are you absolutely positive it comes with the lines? Thanks, Eric |

I burned mine up too after the idiot at the muffler shop did a crappy job on my exhaust. I got a used one from a salvage yard for $10 and it works fine. Check your local salvage yard, I am sure you will find one.

Either that or it sounds like it is time for an Aeromotive fuel system.

I bought the 190lph fuel pump and assembly from Summit, I thought it came with new hoses that ran from the pump to the fuel filter, but I guess I was wrong, they're not showing it in the catalog.

You could always buy some steel braided line, and fit it yourself.
Take care, ~Chris
