Post Blown Motor...

Alright for those of you who dont know The motor in my car blew a week ago today.. i finally pulled everything out over the past week and found out what it is... my intake valve on the #1 cylender is in 4 peices... the valve broke around the groove for the retainer letting the valve fall into the cylender and, well gues what happenced from there... a peice of the valve steam about a 1/2inche long is completely imbeded in the piston... the piston is copletely cracked and seized in the block...

SOO, i am looking at a new short block and new set of heads (fairly stock) i cant spend alot of cash ill do heads later...

I was looking at either a 306-317 block who makes a good one.. and for around $1200-$1600 for the short block...
If Any one has a set of OK E-7 heads htat can be rebuilt ill see what i can do to take them off your hands

IF any one has any good INFO I would love it... OHH i dont think i can race a carlsbad... so i think i am going to do my 5 minute doccumentry for my Broadcasting class for collage, at the race way...

hey man, ive been trying to figure out what to do with me E-7's since i put my edelbrocks on. they are fine and have everything still on them. (valves, springs, rockers,,,) they are still dirty of course, but i think exactly what you are looking for. thats cool, because i dont have anywhere to put them.
the only problem is how far we are from each other. these would probably be fairly expensive to ship. i was going to port them, but id never use them so whats the point?
let me know if your interested. if you have a way to pick them up (i know its not likely) so i dont have to hassle with shipping, you can have them for free. if i got to ship them, ill need 20$ + shipping for the time. i think thats more than fair. the shipping might be kinda hi though, so let me know what you want to do. i dont check email too often, but sent me an email and ill get back to you as soon as i check it. dont have a computer at home is my problem and my company shut down so i lost that accesss as well.
let me know.

Patrick - Give Central Coast Mustang a call. I'm sure you can get a reasonably priced short block from them. I bought the GT-40P long block for $1895.

PATRICK - before you decide, you might want to check out Hawaii Racing - corner of Madera and Easy Street in Simi Valley. They've got 302 short blocks with hypereutectic pistons for about $1100, and with fly cut forged pistons for $1495. In stock.

Yeah... I know Musclemotors has a GT40P long blocks for $1799 I think with any cam choice you want of the FMS cams. And for a little extra you can get it in high compression. Theyre in Woodland hills, really close to you. Hawaii racing is good also, its on Easy street in SIMI.

1-818-888-7778 is muscle motors. If you talk to jack about the motors there tell him Skyler sent you, hes a nice guy to deal with and has done all my car parts.

Hey pat, just to give you an idea, getting my E7TE's shipped to me in 3 boxes (2 for heads, one for all the valves, springs, etc.) cost me around $70-75 dollars... but i now have 30k mile E7TE heads....definately worth it if Quin wants to deal you off his heads!
