paxton fuel pressure regulator
ok read down at the bottom and you can see whats in my car. yeah i finally got a fuel pressure regulator. it is a used blue billet paxton adjustible regulator for $35. i know how to put it on my fuel rail but i dont know how to adjust it. i know how to adjust the set screw on top but do i adjust the pressure with the vaccum line on or off and i know it should be set at approx 40lbs. i have also purchased 24lb injectors and a 70mm mass air but i wont have them till the end of april so i just want to get this regulator on with my stock 19lb injectors.

i know on stock to slightly modified cars the fuel pressure should be at 38-40 without the vaccum line hooked up when you hook up the line it should drop to about 32-35psi, you might need more fuel pressure than that though because of your mods.

I say set it to 38psi vac off like mentioned above, make sure you tighten the 9/16" nut on top after you are done adjusting. Turn it a little then hit the throttle and see where the pressure settles, then lock the nut down. Are you running a FMU?
The adjustable regulator will only give you more fuel at WOT, the stock EEC will adjust the pulse width of the injector to make the A/F ratio what it needs to be, the only way to get more fuel down low is to increase the injector size.

The vaccuum line should be off but you should plug the fitting on the regulator with your finger to get true readings, otherwise it's still sucking air.
