Default C4

I am going to put a c4 tranny behind my 87 LX/ 351W. Question: as the car sees limited street use, manual shift body seems the way to go. Is anyone running this combo? How does it do when you do have it on the street.

My engine builder runs same tranny behind a 408 stroker and just uses 3rd for the street. (has a 3000 rpm stall).

Also, thinking of using the low gear set as well.

Thanks,

I had a manual vavle body on my comet with a 302 and c4. It worked great. Loved it, alot. It helps to have a full rachet shifter, one that backwards and forwards, like hurst promatic 2 or something. I have a b+m quikesilver in my ranchero, it only rachets one way. kind of a pain on the street.
