Question Fuel Rails from Excessive Motorsports

I heard that the Quality Control on Fuel Rails are horrible. I just got my set of 1/2 in. rails from Excessive Motorsports. How canI check to see if these are a good set?? What am I looking for as far as workmanship??

One, the main thing I'd look for in a fuel rail is that it wasn't made by Excessive. Hehe. But seriously, first thing I'd do would be to make sure the bolt patterns line up on the intake. Second, compare it to a stock fuel rail. Make sure that it's even bigger than the stock piece. Check for any obvious flaws as well...like nicks and dimples in the metal. Just use some good judgement and common sense.

After taking a good look at these rails I think I'm sending them back. When they drilled the holes they went too far and totally grinded into the inside of the rail. this really sucks! What type of workmanship is this crap! I'll never buy from them again. This ain't worth $150.00

I wish you the best of luck getting credit from those A******S, it took 3 months to get credit for a $23.00 Speedo gear.

Doesn't Cartech make rails? Try a set of Paxtons, or Vortech or Aeromotives.

My paxtons were pretty weak too, so I went to the enemy and bought vortech rails. much better quality!

Thanks,
I think I'll get the Vortech's from Summit.

Well, I called Excessive and they tried to sell me an Aeromotive fuel system saying that it was much better than the Cartech. They also gave me a return number but they only gave me credit. What can I get that they can't possibly screw up for a 150.00??

Can't you dispute the charges on your credit card?

xspeed,
These guys should take back the fuel rail as long as it was not used. Make sure you have a tracking number when returning. If they don't credit you within a couple of weeks of receiving it you can call the credit card company and tell them this information. I have had to do this a few times, and have always got a refund. The only thing you will lose is the shipping charges.
