Fuel system help

I am going to change my non-return style regulator to a return style.

I have 1/2" line to the carburetor; what size should I have as return line?

I have a 140gph fuel pump.

I also want to run a 120gph Holley blue fuel pump as a nitrous pump. I will be running a 175 shot; do you think I will need it and if so how should I run it?

You should definately have a second pump for your nitrous. I ran mine from a splitter at the tank, and wired it so that it came on when I supplied power to regulator switch. In otherwords, my system had a button for the juice, and a switch inline before that, so that I couldn't hit the button by accident. When the inline switch came on, it also supplied power to the aux. pump.

Take care,
-Chris

So you ran 2 separate lines to the front?

I did not know if since I have 1/2" lines that I could split it at the tank go to both pumps and then go back to one line to the front or put the pump inline with the other pump?

Also, does it matter where the fuel filter goes (before or after the pump) because right now it is before the pump because I don't want any trash to get in to the pump?

If I use 1/2" line, what size return should I use?

Thanks for your help!

3/8 return line should be fine.

I installed a filter before and after the pump. Before the pump is the most important, but why take chances.

You probably could run off your 1/2" line rather than running a second line from the tank, that's just how I did it.

So should I split it and then after the pumps run both lines in to the 1/2" line or just run both pumps inline?
