Post Fuse #8 keeps blowing...

I have a dead short somewhere on circuit #8. Fuse panel say:

courtesy lights...>pulled all bulbs
clock...> don't have one
key warning...> how do you check that?
radio...> took it out
fuel filler door...> how do you check that?
power mirrors...> took out switch

Did anyone every have this problem before on #8? How do I check the key warning and fuel door for a short? Any other ideas to try? This is not a major problem but a enough of a drag not to have these things working.

I've had the EXACT same problem. I've just learned to live with it. I re-wired the CD player to a different fuse and I use the manual fuel release thingy in the hatch to pop the fuel door.

Yep, I have the same problem here too on my '88GT. Everytime I push the fuel door button the fuse blows. I know there must be a short in the fuel door wiring but I don't feel like finding where the wires for it are and then trying to find the short.

Ya, my 90 is manual too, interesting. Looks like those of us with later models have it hard, maybe this fuse thing is why ford dropped the electic thing? It would be my guess. I one time had a fuse that would continually blow, cause someone had dropped a penny in my cigarette lighter. Took me FOREVER to figure that out.
