Injector Upgrade Question...
At the end of this summer I'm planning on putting in a new mass air, new throttle body and 24# injectors... What kinda stuff am i gonna have to do to the computer though? Will i have to get a new chip, or will resetthing the computer be enough? I ask now because I'm starting to buy the stuff now and I'm just gonna hold off and put it all on my car when i have everything. I'm just trrying to figure out how much its gonna cost to do this...

I think resetting computer should be enough....But I don't think you need the larger TB. I think most would agree as well.
I think you lose HP with larger TB and MAF on near stock applications. Thanks, DoranW

You want have to do anything to the computer itself and no chip is needed for what your planning on doing.
Sonic is right in one respect, your going to loss a little power due to the 70 mm TB. I would stick with 65 mm as the max size, unless your buying these parts for future plans like a stroker motor or a blower. If thats your plan, your right on track for now. I will say I've seen on more than once occasion cars make over 400 rwhp with a 65 mm TB on them.

I'm not planning on a blower, but i am planning on aftermarket heads within the year, and possible a 327 stroker kit, but it depends on how much money i make this summer. If i only go with aftermarket heads and an intake, would you recommend a 65 or 70mm??

might be 60mm is stock, not sure on the year they switched from 50 something to 60.
eithier way, 65 MM does the job and has superior response than a 70 |

You won't need 24# injectors, either.
Take care, -Chris

First off you don't need an injector upgrade at this point, and to me 24lbs are the worst choice, they are barely better than 19's, they are the most inaccurate of all motorsport injectors, and aftermarket mass airs just don't seem to get along with them, calibrated or not. I would suggest the larger 76mm C&L into a 65mm motorsport throttle body. Even on a bone stock engine, you will see upper rpm gains. Needs to be tuned tho. if you get a maf get an afpr too, they go hand in hand.
In 1986 they used a 58mm throttle body, 87-93 was a 60mm unit.

Yep, i'm sure, i've had them both brand new.
A afpr = adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
