Gear Installation in Dallas Area

Looking in to getting 3.73's installed. I live in Dallas and I checked at Dallas Mustang and they've quoted me $450 for the gears and install. $199 for the gears and $251 for the install.

I was hoping that I could get them done for under $400 bucks. In fact I was hoping I could get them done and still have $60 bucks or so for some pulleys.

Anyone in the Dallas area know where I can get a set installed for around $350?

I don't really want to do it myself because I don't really have all the tools (although I could find them) and I don't want to get stuck with bad gear whine.

You might check with Lone Star Performance. They only charged me $179 for my 4.10's but I had them installed here in San Angelo, so I have no idea if they can do the instill (or how much it would be).

By the way - I finally found the correct speedo gear for an AODE w/ 4.10s. It's part# J3167393 at your nearest Jeep dealership!

Lonestar Performance does good work for a good price. They have better prices than DMP.

Good luck

Thanks

I called Lonestar performance. Hammer told me about them too. I called and the total install was $420. Plus they made a point of saying that they replace all seals, use synthetic oil, change the tranny gear, etc. The gears were only $179 compared to DMP's $199.

I think I'll take the car to Lonestar Performance. I just have to wait for my bonus check to arrive...
